Craddocks supplies indoor and outdoor car parking, as well as services such as vehicle grooming, mechanical servicing and warrants of fitness, re-fuelling, panel and paint repairs, plus complimentary shuttle services. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Craddocks Chch is a park and ride facility, meaning that it is located some distance away from Christchurch Airport. Travellers have to utilise the car park’s shuttle transfer services to complete their journey to the airport, and then again on their return to Christchurch to retrieve their vehicle. The journey time is approximately five minutes, and the buses run on demand. Customers will need to leave one set of car keys with the staff at Craddocks, so that they can place their car into storage, for the duration of the stay.
Up until 2011, Craddocks Christchurch was privately operated by PMW 2000 Limited. It was then acquired by Christchurch International Airport Limited, which now maintains the facility and determines its parking rates. Please note that you cannot book at Craddocks Airport Parking through the Parkhero website. If you would like to reserve a space at Craddocks Outdoor or Craddocks Indoor, for same day returns through to several weeks or even months, you can do so on Christchurch Airport’s official website. The car park welcomes standard sized vehicles such as sedans, 4WDs, utes, minivans, and luxury cars, via advance online and drive-up bookings. Those looking to park a campervan, commercial truck, or any other vehicle over 6.0 x 2.3 metres in size should contact Craddocks in advance to ask about storage options. Now, Craddocks parking has changed names and is referred to by Christchurch Airport as Park and Ride Christchurch.
Parking rates at Craddocks Outdoor start at $19.50 for 24 hours, and extend to $40.00 for three days, and $70.00 for five. For discounted prices, it’s worth booking online and in advance. You can shave a few dollars off long-term stays by reserving a bay on Christchurch Airport’s official website.
The rates charged at Craddocks Indoor are not too dissimilar from Craddocks Outdoor, despite the additional level of cover/weather protection provided. The prices only differ by one or two dollars for most time periods, in terms of drive-up rates. Prices start at $28.00 for 24 hours, $65.00 for three days, and $91.60 for five. Less of a discount can be achieved via advance online booking, however, there is still a small saving to be made for stays of one week or less.
While we’ve made every attempt to report on Christchurch Airport car parking rates accurately, prices do fluctuate over time and are subject to change without notice. The rates quoted were valid in December 2024 for stays of 7 - 8 days. All prices for New Zealand car parks are shown in New Zealand Dollars ($NZ).
