Closest Parking Options to the International Terminal

Premium Covered L2 - L4

The closest car park to the International Terminal is the Premium Covered L2 - L4 car park, located within the Transport Hub, directly opposite the terminal, a mere 3 - 5 minute walk away.

As its name implies, the car park is fully covered and only serves international travellers. It is a great option for trips under 5 days, as rates begin to get pricey soon after.

While only vehicles under 2.2 metres can park here, mobility parking spots are available and are marked in blue. Additionally, license plate technology is in place for quick entry & exit—no tapping or inserting your card is required!

If you're wondering about the car park's security, it is equipped with 24/7 CCTV and a well-lighted facility.

Most Affordable Parking Options near the International Terminal

Off-Site Options: Flypark, Aeroparks, & Parking Mode

Currently, Flypark and Parking Mode are tied for the cheapest car parks near the international terminal. Flypark is closest, at an 8-minute shuttle ride away, while Parking Mode is 9 minutes. These car parks range from $58.75 - $59.00 for 1 week of parking.

Aeroparks is not far behind in affordability, at $72.96 for 1 week of parking, only 8 minutes from the International Terminal.

All 3 are open 24/7 with on-demand shuttle transfers to take you to and from the airport as soon as you arrive, and as soon as you land.

On-Site Options: Park & Ride North and South

The cheapest on-site parking options will be Park & Ride North and South. These are car parks located approximately 15 minutes away from the international terminal but are designed to be the most economical parking options at Auckland Airport.

Park & Ride North and South charge the same rates of $95 per week, and offer transfers every 10 - 12 minutes, 24/7.

To enter Park & Ride North, you must have your nominated credit or debit card used to pre-book your spot to scan at the entry gate. If you didn't pre-book, simply scan your card at the gate to enter, and again to exit.

Park & Ride South is equipped with license plate recognition software, so no card is needed to enter nor exit. If you pre-booked your spot, your vehicle plate will be recognised upon entry, and if you overstayed your parking duration, you can pay the balance at the exit.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up at the International Terminal

For quick drop off and pick-ups at the International Terminal at Auckland Airport, head to the middle lane of the ground floor of the Transport Hub. Be advised that you cannot park your car here, or exit the driver's seat, it is only for immediate drop-off and pick-up.

For a bit more time waiting for your passenger or saying goodbye, you have two choices: 10 minutes of free parking in the P180 short-term car park, located within the Transport Hub, or 30 minutes of free parking in Wait Zone 3.

Wait Zone 3 is specifically designed for drop-off and pick-ups from the international terminal, as it is closest to that terminal of the 3 wait zones. The entrance is off Ray Emery Drive, right behind car park E.

Short Term Parking near the International Terminal

P60 & P180 Car Parks

Auckland Airport recommends the P60 and P180 car parks for short-term stays of a few minutes up to a few hours.

The P60 car park is located on the ground floor of the Transport Hub, while the P180 is on the first floor of the Transport Hub. Both car parks are covered and only accept drive-up bookings on your day of departure.

The P60 car park is a 2 - 4 minute walk to the international terminal, while the P180 is a 3 - 5 minute walk.

Parking at the P60 means you can only park for 1 hour for $16, and $12 per hour thereafter, will increase up to $75 for 1 day. Parking at the P180 will be a bit cheaper long-term, with free parking for 10 minutes, $16 for 1 hour, and $67 for 1 day.

Which Car Park Should You Choose?

Looking for the cheapest car park near the international terminal without compromising safety or convenience?

The cheapest car parks at Auckland Airport serving the international terminal are Parking Mode & Flypark, as they charge $56 - $59 for 1 week of parking. Due to their low rates and tiered pricing, these are the best car parks for long-term parking.

Both of these car parks are only an 8 - 9 minute ride from the international terminal  and operate 24/7, so they will pick you up and drop you off at all hours.

Parking for a maximum of a few hours - 1 day?

Consider one of the two short-term car parks, P60 and P180, located within the Transport Hub. They are not the most economical car parks but are within a 2 - 5 minute walk of the international terminal.

If you want a cheaper alternative and don't mind a bit of a longer walk, consider car park E, an 8 - 10 minute walk to the terminal, and only $9.00 for 1 hour, and $46 for 24 hours.

Looking to park at the cheapest on-site car park?

Consider Park at Park & Ride North or South, they charge the same rates of $95 for 1 week of parking, are a 10 - 15 minute shuttle ride to the terminal.

These car parks are owned and operated by Auckland Airport, so they don't offer on-demand shuttle services. As a result, be aware that you will likely have to wait and/or queue for the terminal shuttle.

Prefer covered parking?

Car Park D is your best option! Located an 8 - 12 minute walk away from the international terminal, parking here costs $250 per week.

Seeking ultimate parking convenience, and not worried about the cost?

Consider the international valet service, located right outside the terminal doors. You can choose from covered or uncovered parking, car washing services, and even mobility valet-style parking with an accessibility buggy available.
