Car Park M at Auckland Airport offers convenient, quick access to the terminal, with a 2 - 5 minute walk to the domestic terminal and the closest parking to the Air New Zealand check-in area. The car park offers over 750 parking bays and is primarily open-air, however, there are some covered parking bays available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
While Car Park M is not the cheapest parking at Auckland Airport, it does offer the utmost convenience and is the perfect car park for short-term stays of 5 days or less.

Due to its proximity to the domestic terminal, parking at Car Park M is quick, as you will be at the check-in desks within a 5-minute walk.
To enter Auckland Airport Car Park M, drive to the car park and tap your credit card at the entry barrier. Be sure to tap the same credit or debit card used to make your booking online, upon entering the car park. Didn’t make a reservation online? Take a ticket or scan your credit card at the entry barrier. If you wish to park in an undercover bay, plan to arrive at the car park as early in the day as you can, as covered capacity is known to dwindle quickly.
Important: If you lose your ticket, you’ll be charged a lost ticket fee of $54.00.
Exit Auckland Airport Car Park M by driving up to the exit barrier and tapping the same credit or debit card used to enter, to exit.
If you acquired a parking ticket upon entry, you may pay for it at the payment terminals outside the Auckland International Terminal & Car Park D before heading to the car park. All auto-pay machines accept credit cards, while parking booths accept cash and EFTPOS payments.
If you experience any difficulties while exiting, press and hold the 'HELP' or intercom button for two seconds until you hear a ringing sound. Please have your booking reference number and confirmation email ready.

Auckland Airport Car Park M offers a covered parking facility featuring 24/7 CCTV surveillance, and automated entry and exit barriers. It is one of the closest car parks to the terminal, making it a secure & slightly more looked after parking facility.

Reviews of Car Park M left by past travellers note the car park is difficult to find as there is poor signage, and expensive. One traveller exclaimed that he was charged simply for accidentally turning in the car park and had to pay upon exiting immediately. Despite this, some travellers did rate the car park with 5 stars on Google Reviews, despite leaving no written reviews of their experience.
If in doubt, consider parking with an off-site parking option whose directions are clear and offer complimentary shuttle services to take you to and from the domestic or international terminals in under 10 minutes. Car Park M can be booked both online and in person. To book online, click on the 'Book Now' above, and you will be taken to Auckland Airport's website, where you can enter your travel dates & times. If you don't wish to pre-book your spot, you can drive up to the car park on your day of arrival and scan your credit card or take a ticket at the entry barrier.
You may cancel your booking no less than 24 hours before your stated arrival time at the car park to be eligible for a refund. You may cancel or amend your booking at the ‘Manage my Booking’ tab on Auckland Airport's website.
Car Park M, designated as a 'standard' parking option by Auckland Airport, will charge rates that are between those of Car Park O and Car Park R. So, if you want to still be close to the terminals, but not pay the rates that Car Park R charges, Car Park M may be a good choice.
Rates at this car park start at $3.00 for up to 10 minutes, $16.00 for 1 hour, $23.00 for 90 - 120 minutes, & $3.00 for each hour thereafter. Rates then rise to $54.00 for 1 day, $139.00 for 3 days, and $209.00 for 5 days. For stays of 1 week, rates increase to $314.00, and $524.00 for a fortnight. Each day of parking thereafter will cost $35.00.
